Job Summary
Medical Support Assistant at International SOS Government Medical Services supports VA clinics by providing front-line administrative and patient support. Responsibilities include welcoming Veterans, scheduling/canceling appointments per VA guidelines, maintaining accurate patient records in the electronic health record, providing clerical support to clinic staff, routing calls, monitoring schedules and no-shows, and assisting with daily clinic operations while ensuring HIPAA and Joint Commission compliance. Required skills include strong customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to type at least 50 wpm, and effective English communication; education of a High School Diploma or GED is required; U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency may be required for background investigations. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of customer service experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
- High School Diploma or GED
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation or clearance
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Work in standard office or clinical environment; occasional lifting up to 15 pounds
