Job Summary
Front-line administrative and patient-support role within Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) clinics. Responsibilities include welcoming Veterans, scheduling and managing appointments, maintaining accurate patient records in the electronic health record, providing clerical support to clinic staff, routing calls, monitoring schedules, managing no-show lists, and ensuring compliance with VA policies, HIPAA, and Joint Commission requirements. Requires strong customer service, proficiency with Microsoft Office, typing 50 WPM, and basic healthcare terminology understanding; minimum six months of customer service experience and a high school diploma or GED. The position is located in Boise, Idaho with in-person work arrangement. Salary ranges from $19 to $23 per hour, converted to annualized USD between $39,520 and $47,840 depending on factors.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of customer service experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
- Basic understanding of healthcare delivery and medical terminology preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required background investigation or clearance
