Job Summary
Front-line administrative and patient support for VA clinics; responsibilities include welcoming Veterans, scheduling and managing patient appointments per VA guidelines, maintaining accurate patient records in the electronic health record, providing clerical support to clinic staff, routing calls, monitoring schedules and no-shows, and supporting daily clinic operations with compliance to VA policies, HIPAA standards, and Joint Commission requirements. Required skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), typing 50 WPM, strong customer service, effective English communication, and the ability to work in a standard office/clinical environment. Education of a High School Diploma or GED is required, and candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain necessary background clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months of customer service experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or possess a Permanent Resident Card
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required background investigation or clearance
