Job Summary
Medical Supply Specialist for Emergency Medical Service responsible for transporting emergency and support vehicle to repair facilities, taking in supplies with correct product, lot numbers and expiration dates, filling and delivering station orders, maintaining inventory accountability with software, ensuring reserve ambulances are stocked and ready, and performing audits to comply with EMS equipment lists and tracking standards for narcotics. Requires high school diploma/GED, EMT or equivalent, 2 years related experience, strong computer skills, inventory/warehouse knowledge, and a Texas driver’s license; forklift experience and NIMS IS700 training after hire are preferred. Provides equal opportunity employment and participates in disaster-related emergency management activities as directed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- EMT or equivalent knowledge
- 2 years of job related experience
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of inventory of supplies and equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse operations/procedures
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Experience using and repairing medical equipment (preferred)
- NIMS IS700 Training must be completed after hire date (required)
