Job Summary
The Medical Student Support Coordinator position involves providing comprehensive academic, professional, and personal support to third and fourth-year medical students during their clinical training. Responsibilities include advising students on clinical rotation planning and residency applications, coordinating clinical education and support services, tracking clinical requirements, and organizing career events. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in academic advising, student services, or related field in higher education
- Experience working with graduate or professional students preferred
- Familiarity with medical education and clinical training environments highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with student information systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with residency application processes (ERAS, NRMP Match)
- Understanding of LCME accreditation standards and medical school curriculum
- Crisis intervention or mental health first aid training
- Bilingual abilities
