Job Summary
Coordinate scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute transcription for Medical Staff Committee, Department, and Ad Hoc meetings. Manage practitioner credentialing, re-credentialing, and privilege processing including Proctoring, FPPE, OPPE, and provisional reviews. Maintain credentialing databases, survey binders, and monthly reports while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Support onboarding for new providers, authenticate access for electronic prescribing, and facilitate site visits for licensing and accreditation surveys. Provide customer service to callers and visitors in accordance with KNOWN Standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Associate's degree
- Degree in related field
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years Minimum two years experience providing administrative/office support in an acute care facility or large healthcare organization in which duties included multiple tasks
- Five years experience as a medical staff services professional
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with peers, patients, physicians, and other customers of the medical center
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, Title 22, and CMS regulations pertaining to the organized medical staff
- Knowledge of medical staff principles, practices, quality assessment, performance improvement functions, and legal concepts related to the organized medical staff
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
- Valid CPCS or CPMSM by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (or equivalent five years experience as medical staff professional)
