Job Summary
The Medical Social Worker at NHC HomeCare Greenwood is responsible for evaluating the social and emotional needs of patients related to their medical condition and providing necessary counseling. Key responsibilities include assessing factors impacting patient health, assisting patients and caregivers with understanding medical recommendations, and identifying community resources to aid patient transition back to daily life. Candidates are required to have a Master's Degree in social work, one year of experience in health care, and the appropriate South Carolina licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- One year social work experience in a health care setting
- Licensed by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners at the Master (LMSW) or Independent (LISW) level
