Job Summary
Conduct psychosocial assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions for patients and families to support care adherence and social adjustment. Interview patients for initial evaluations, identify barriers to transition, and report suspected cases of abuse or neglect. Collaborate with management and support systems to implement care plans while researching community resources for financial and emotional assistance. Participate in periodic audits to ensure adherence to federal guidelines and laws. Requires a Master's degree in Social Work and one year of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- 1 year experience working as a social worker or applicable mental health experience
- Ability to work effectively with people from a broad range of backgrounds
- Ability to adhere to the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics
- Knowledge of patient rights and laws relative to those rights, such as HIPAA
- Knowledge of psychological principles and theories
- High degree of emotional intelligence
- Empathy towards others
- Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, and empathy towards others
