Job Summary
Provide individual, group, and couple/family therapy to clients with mental health and substance use disorders, including Axis I diagnostic assessments per DSM-5-TR guidelines. Deliver psycho-education groups, assist clients in establishing treatment goals, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to solve problems and create aftercare plans. Maintain third-party payer relationships, document utilization reviews, and communicate client observations to team members and referral sources. Complete all documentation consistent with compliance standards and attend program staff meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
- Independent Ohio license (LISW, LISW-S, or LPCC) to practice
- At least two years of experience working with patients with mental illness
- Expertise/training in cognitive-behavioral and/or interpersonal psychotherapy
- Understanding of the psychosocial aspects of chronic illness
- Familiarity and competency with assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Familiarity with addiction services, treatment modalities, and the continuum of care
- Strong understanding of the stages of change model and its application in addiction therapy
