Job Summary
Medical Social Worker III (LCSW) provides bio-psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, and care coordination for patients and families affected by medical illness. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, patient education, advocacy, and collaboration with medical teams; includes end-of-life option duties for applicable postings. Requires MSW with California LCSW license, minimum one year in medical acute care or related setting, and strong interdisciplinary coordination. Part-time, 20 hours weekly, on-site in Los Angeles, CA; may involve weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
- One year experience in medical acute care setting or as part of a medical team (MSW); MSW Internships considered for experience
- BLS card (for End of Life or Home Health/Hospice roles)
