Job Summary

Operate high-fidelity patient simulator systems and advanced learning technologies to enhance medical education and training for healthcare teams. Manage operational logistics, including equipment setup, troubleshooting, and recovery for scheduled training events. Utilize a state-of-the-art Learning Management System to view and evaluate learner performance, while providing input on team performance to establish correlations between pre- and post-simulation results. Assist with train-the-trainer activities and basic equipment troubleshooting to support additional cadre members. Prepare training environments and follow legitimate medical aspects of scenarios, making appropriate adjustments based on participant actions. Work part-time, 32-40 hours per month between 0730 and 1630, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with word processing software and SharePoint applications
  • Certified medical simulation operator
  • Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification
  • At least one year of clinical experience in a military or civilian setting
  • At least (1) year of experience with programming human patient simulators using Laerdal and Nasco simulator operating systems
  • Prior experience in course development and education methodology
  • Knowledge of military trauma clinical skills, procedures, processes to include: AFMS Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs)
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Air Force and professional standards
  • Knowledge of military and civilian guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move human patient simulation equipment to and from training areas
  • Ability to work in low-light, high-volume environments
  • Ability to work in differing weather conditions simulating actual aeromedical evacuation and CCATT missions
  • Availability for weekend shifts
  • Availability for Federal holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • Paramedic-equivalent medical knowledge
  • RN level
  • One year of military medical/military deployment experience
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Experience with Audio/visual solutions
  • Experience with moulage creation & application
  • Experience with hyper-realistic simulators
  • Experience with task-trainers
