Job Summary
Provide basic medical assistance, first aid, and enhanced care recommendations for guests, clients, and coworkers at the Ford Wyoming Center. Perform lifting and moving of patients based on injuries or illness while maintaining first-line communications with the public to answer questions and resolve routine issues. Complete all medical reports, patient refusals, and incident reports as required, utilizing appropriate patient care and treatment principles at the EMT-Basic level. Properly use personal protective equipment and medical equipment under the direction of a Medical Director. Maintain effective verbal and written communication while interacting in a positive, helpful, and professional manner with staff, participants, and event guests.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of experience as an EMT-B or higher, or as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Completion of an EMT or Nursing program approved and certified by the State of Wyoming
- Must have approved certification by the State of Wyoming as an EMT-Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic
- Must be under the direction of a Medical Director and only operate within those approved protocols
- Must be able to supply a letter from the Medical Director stating good standing, current status on training, and confirmation of operation under that Medical Director's license
- Must be licensed in the State of Wyoming as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Completion of at least a BLS-Healthcare Provider CPR class
