Job Summary
The Scribe Tech captures accurate, detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR and assists physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures. Responsibilities include directing patient flow, DOH-compliant lab processes, phlebotomy and various point-of-care tests, escorting patients to exams or imaging, maintaining stock and a clean, professional environment, and communicating with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under physician guidance. This role provides exposure to CNA/MA/EMT/paramedic pathways and offers a strong resume-building entry into healthcare careers within a physician-led network.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus, but not required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
