Job Summary
The Scribe captures accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR in a timely manner, assists the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures (e.g., UA, EKG, lab processing, rapid point of care testing), aids site management with patient flow and inventory, ensures DOH-compliant lab practices, and delivers compassionate customer service while maintaining fast-paced performance in an urgent care setting. The role provides exposure to CNA/MA/EMT/Paramedic pathways, supports aftercare with referrals, and requires strong attention to detail, independent work capability, and bilingual preference depending on site. Requires high school diploma or GED; BLS certification at time of hire; ability to operate in a fast-paced urgent care environment; and strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Undergraduate degree a plus
- Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on-site location
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
- Strong aptitude for detail
- Computer Proficiency
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- English language skills required
- Team player
- Flexibility for full-time including weekend day
