Job Summary
Medical Scribe position in Carrollton, TX responsible for assisting the provider with the completion of dictations to improve the efficiency and quality of patient visits and the overall clinic flow. Responsibilities include navigating the Electronic Health Record (E.H.R) system, locating information, entering data into the E.H.R. as directed by the provider, researching information as requested, responding to messages, and assisting with documenting patient care and coding in the E.H.R. while ensuring HIPAA compliance. A quick learner who is assertive will perform well in this on-site role at a busy Carrollton clinic. Gap-year students welcome; must commit to a full year; schedule includes mornings and partial afternoons on Mon/Wed/Fri and Tue/Thu. High school diploma or GED preferred, Bachelor's preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with Medical and Anatomy Terminology
- Ability to communicate at a professional level with patients and physicians/physician assistants
- Ability to type 45+ wpm
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
