Medical Scribe - Float

Medical Scribe/Clinic Informatics Specialist supporting primary care providers with real-time documentation to enable focused patient care. Responsibilities include observing and documenting patient encounters in real time with structured notes (history, assessment, plan, and physical exam), assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes, preparing After Visit Summaries, supporting clinical documentation improvement, and assisting with administrative tasks for the care team. The role emphasizes knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and population health data tools; familiarity with chronic disease documentation and coding is valued. The position requires in-person work at two Oak Street Health clinics in Jamaica, NY, with a commitment of 1 year (full-time, approximately 40 hours/week).
