Job Summary
Accompany providers during patient visits to accurately document assessments, exams, and diagnostic results in the Electronic Medical Record. Greet patients, translate medical terminology into patient files, and record relevant history, procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions. Communicate with patients regarding healthcare concerns and assist with educating them on health best practices as directed by the physician. Adhere to legal requirements for medical report style and confidentiality, including HIPAA and PHI laws. Consulate with the care team on patient needs while referring all patient care requests to the responsible provider. Perform other duties as assigned, including driving to facilities as needed. Bilingual in Spanish or Farsi is required, along with 1-2 years of previous medical scribe experience.
Required Qualifications
- Type 75+ words per minute
- Bilingual in Spanish or Farsi
- Previous medical scribe experience (1-2 years)
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highschool diploma
- Ability to drive to FTOC facilities as needed
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
