Job Summary
Medical Scribe role supporting Oak Street Health providers with real-time documentation in patient encounters. Responsibilities include joining the provider in the exam room to observe and document encounters, producing structured notes (history of present illness, assessment, plan, physical exam), assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes, preparing After Visit Summaries, and assisting with clinical documentation improvement. The position emphasizes documentation accuracy within Oak Street's value-based care model, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to HIPAA. The role requires in-person clinic work approximately 40-45 hours per week, strong listening/communication skills, medical terminology knowledge, Spanish language proficiency, and a commitment to at least 1 year (2+ preferred). US work authorization is required, and the typical pay range is $17.00-$25.65 per hour (annualized to $35,360-$53,352). The role is full-time and located in Longview, TX.
