Job Summary
Part-time Medical Screener at BioLife/Takeda Plasma Center focused on donor screening, phlebotomy support, and donor care. Responsibilities include answering phones, greeting donors, screening new/repeat donors, recording donor vital signs and finger-stick results, maintaining donor charts in the Donor Information System, coordinating donor compensation, identifying operational improvements, and supporting a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to stand/walk for shifts, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; likely in-person role at USA - MO - Springfield location with starting wage around $16/hour and comprehensive benefits. Training program provided; emphasis on safety, donor care, and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1) with glove use
- 1 or more years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
