Job Summary
Part-time Medical Screener/Phlebotomist at BioLife/Takeda in Hampton, VA. You will screen donors and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations, greet donors, answer phones, record donor vital signs and finger stick results, maintain donor charts and coordinates donor compensation using the Donor Information System, and identify opportunities to improve center processes. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; shifts are 4-6 hours, 3+ days per week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Compensation starts at $16.00 per hour with benefits in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years minimum experience in customer or patient facing role (helpful)
- willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (as part of duties)
- ability to stand or walk for entire shift
- ability to wear gloves for prolonged periods due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens
