Job Summary
Phlebotomist and plasma donor screener at BioLife/Takeda in Austin, TX part-time role. You will greet donors, perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines, monitor donors during donation, perform setup and troubleshooting of plasmapheresis equipment, enter donor information into the DIS, coordinate donors to the donor floor, and support center operations with continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping). Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Starting wage is $18.00 per hour, with compensation and benefits details provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
