Job Summary
Medical Scientific Advisor (MSA) for Infectious Diseases and Respiratory & Immunology based in Espoo, Finland. Field-based role leading medical strategy for pre-launch and launch activities, engaging Key External Experts and healthcare professionals, and driving scientific leadership in Infectious Diseases (vaccines) and Respiratory areas. Responsible for external stakeholder engagement, medical information support, and cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical Operations, Market Access, and Commercial teams. Leads pre-launch readiness, contributes to launch plans, and supports evidence generation, clinical practice integration, and patient-centered strategies. Requires an advanced medical/scientific degree, experience in medical affairs/clinical research in ID/respiratory/immunology, strong scientific communications skills, and proficiency in AI/digital tools; Finnish and English language fluency. This fixed-term contract spans approximately two years with a focus on delivering strategic medical leadership and scientific excellence to improve patient outcomes within AstraZeneca’s Infectious Diseases and Respiratory portfolio in Finland.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD and/or PhD and/or MSc)
- Experience in infectious diseases, respiratory medicine, internal medicine or immunology
- Proven experience in medical affairs and clinical research
- Experience in leading scientific communications and developing relationships with external experts
- Fluency in Finnish and excellent written and spoken English
