Job Summary
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Oncology is a field-based, scientific liaison role covering Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana. The MSL develops peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers, executes territory plans in alignment with US Medical Affairs, and communicates clinical insights to internal teams. Responsibilities include on-site medical education and presentations at healthcare institutions and conferences, supporting data generation activities and advisory boards, and providing scientific information through objective scientific exchange. The role emphasizes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of oncology therapies, Jazz products, and current research trends, while traveling frequently to engage external stakeholders, support medical congress staffing, and assist with speaker development and cross-functional collaboration. The position requires strong communication, planning, and relationship-building skills, plus the ability to travel 60-70% and operate as a scientific resource within the medical community.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equiv) with min 3 years in therapeutic area
- License (RN, NP, CNP, PA or equiv) with min Master’s and min 5 years clinical practice
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an MSL or comparable role
- Willingness to travel 60-70%
- Must live within 60 miles of a major airport
