Job Summary
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Oncology is field-based, covering Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana, responsible for developing peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs/HCPs, executing territory plans, delivering scientific exchange and medical information, providing clinical/scientific support for Jazz Pharmaceuticals, participating in medical education and advisory activities, and supporting data generation and cross-functional initiatives. The role requires up-to-date knowledge of oncology therapeutics, ability to present complex information clearly, strong planning and networking skills, and a willingness to travel 60-70% to engage with academic centers, conferences, advisory boards, and regional meetings; advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent) with at least 3 years in the therapeutic area is required, along with a minimum of 2 years’ MSL or equivalent experience. The position is field-based with frequent travel and a strong emphasis on scientific credibility, ethical engagement, and collaboration with Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with minimum 3 years’ experience in therapeutic area
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an MSL or comparable industry or clinical role
- License (RN, NP, CNP, PA or equivalent) with minimum of a Master’s Degree and minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical practice
- Willingness to travel 60-70% time
- Ability to travel and work in field-based settings
