Job Summary
Field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Oncology responsible for interfacing with oncology healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance Amgen's scientific platform. Role includes presenting complex scientific information to medical communities, providing clinical and pharmacoeconomic value discussions with payers/formularies, identifying and training speakers’ bureau members, supporting investigator-sponsored research, delivering scientific support across commercial and matrix colleagues, and cultivating relationships with key thought leaders. Lead or participate in committees or project teams to support MSL strategies, demonstrate Amgen values, ensure compliant communication, and support data-driven value propositions in Central and South Florida and Puerto Rico.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree & 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
- Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
- Oncology therapeutic area expertise
- Experience in communicating complex scientific information to healthcare decision-makers and supporting payer/formulary discussions
- Ability to identify and train speakers’ bureau members and engage with thought leaders
- Willingness to travel as a field-based professional
