Job Summary
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Neuro-Oncology, field-based in the US with travel across designated states. Responsible for developing and nurturing peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers, executing territory plans in alignment with US Medical Affairs, delivering scientific exchange and clinical/scientific support, participating in medical education activities, and providing scientific support for data-generation activities and advisory boards. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of neuro-oncology therapy areas, Jazz products, and trends; represents Jazz as a scientific authority in the therapeutic area; travels frequently to engage external experts and stakeholders; collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement medical plans and to support KOL activities and clinical trials; adheres to regulatory and company codes of practice; strong communication, presentation, planning, and relationship-building skills; requires high levels of autonomy and travel (60-70%); field-based role with potential for salary-related discussions within the stated pay range; location flexibility within the US with travel in the defined territory.
Required Qualifications
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience in neuro-oncology; ability to research and critically analyze and communicate complex scientific and medical information and data; clear and concise communication and presentation skills; excellent planning and organization skills with high-level attention to detail and accuracy; strong strategic mindset; highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously; ability to learn quickly, be flexible and results-focused in a rapidly changing environment; excellent negotiation skills; demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationship building, networking, collaboration and teamwork; strong capabilities working with digital platforms and tools; excellent command of spoken English; ability and willingness to travel at least 60% of workdays; driving required
- Required/Preferred Education and Licenses: Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in neuro-oncology; License (RN, NP, CNP, PA or equivalent) with a minimum of a Master’s Degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical practice; a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a MSL or comparable industry or clinical role is required; travel 60-70% time; valid driver’s license and live within 60 miles of a major airport
