Job Summary

Conduct non-promotional, evidence-based scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals, researchers, and academic institutions to communicate current scientific evidence and support educational initiatives. Gather and synthesize field insights to inform Medical Affairs strategy, while facilitating compliant interactions with external investigators for clinical studies and real-world evidence initiatives. Execute all external engagements adhering to Medical Affairs SOPs, Sunshine Act requirements, and fair market value standards through cross-functional collaboration with Clinical Operations, R&D, and Legal teams. Maintain audit-ready practices via training and quality reviews while operating independently within the unbranded, science-centric Medical Affairs model.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, nutrition, physiology, pharmacy, medicine, or related scientific field
  • 9+ years industry experience required in Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, CPG, Nutrition, or related industry
  • At least 5 years experience in a Medical Science Liaison (or parallel) position required
  • Experience in Medical Affairs, scientific engagement, clinical education, or research‐facing roles
  • Strong understanding of scientific literature, evidence evaluation, and data interpretation
  • Familiarity with regulated scientific environments and compliance expectations
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and credibly to external experts
  • Scientific credibility and intellectual curiosity
  • Non‐promotional role; no sales targets or brand promotion
  • Operates under Medical Affairs strategy and Medical Governance and Compliance
  • All external engagements must be approved, documented, and compliant
  • Acts as a scientific representative of PepsiCo, not a commercial one
  • Strong ethical standards and compliance mindset
  • Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization
  • Comfort working independently in a field‐based role
  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
