Job Summary
MSLs serve as a strategic link between Harrow and our Scientific Partners, developing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with ophthalmology and optometry professionals, supporting evidence-based use of Harrow products through scientific exchange, and providing medical information and training to healthcare professionals and internal teams. Responsibilities include identifying and engaging KOLs, conducting non-promotional education, enabling data-driven insights for product development and lifecycle management, supporting investigator-initiated trials, authoring scientific assets, contributing to medical strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance and credentialing. The role requires travel to the Central Region (Dallas, Houston, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Chicago) up to 60-70% and living within a 30-minute commute to a major airport.
Required Qualifications
- Terminal Degree required. MD/DO/OD/PhD/PharmD
- Ophthalmology experience required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison role with progressive responsibilities required
- Experience in designing and executing clinical trials required
- Experience in scientific presentations required
- Broad knowledge of product development, clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, payer landscape, and life cycle management required
- Working knowledge of the Healthcare System and of the research procedures, as well as the ICH guidelines, GCP, and other ethical guidelines required
- Proven ability and experience to develop and foster peer-to-peer, credible relationships with Medical Experts/decision makers
- Fluency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English is required
- Travel Requirements: 60-70%
- Must live within a 30-minute commute to a major airport.
