Medical School Admissions Consultant - Resident Physician

Job Summary
Medical School Admissions Consultant work: Support pre-med and medical school applicants through the admissions process (AMCAS/AACOMAS), track progress, draft compelling materials (essays, resumes, letters of recommendation), guide program selection and interview preparation, manage timelines, and provide strategic admissions guidance. Requires current residency in an MD or DO program, US medical school graduation, prior medical school admissions committee experience, strong planning and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and experience in education/coaching. This is a part-time, remote, 1099 contract role that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Currently in your residency program (MD or DO)
- Graduated from a U.S. medical school
- Experience on a medical school admissions committee, including reviewing applications and participating in acceptance and rejection decisions
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong English reading, writing, and editing skills for medical school essays and personal statements
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Expertise in project management and applicant tracking
- Experience in education, coaching, tutoring, or mentoring students
