Job Summary
Medical Respite Driver transports patients/clients to appointments and essential services, assists with onboarding into the program, boards/disembarks from vehicles, and navigates to on-site destinations. Requires coordinating with on-site staff, maintaining daily transport logs, ensuring safety and courteous service, assisting with Activities of Daily Living, maintaining vehicles, and adhering to policies. Requires a CA driver’s license with a clean record, 1 year of commercial passenger vehicle experience, the ability to de-escalate, and readiness to meet vaccination and certification requirements (COVID-19, TB, CPR/First Aid). Preferred bilingual Spanish or Threshold-language skills and experience with paratransit or wheelchair-van operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid California Driver’s License and a good driving record
- Minimum one (1) year of experience driving a commercial passenger vehicle
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and TB clearance required within 7 days of hire
- CPR and First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire
