Medical Resident - Pediatrics

Medical Resident position focused on pediatrics: assess health status of pediatric patients through comprehensive history and physical exams; initiate therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, prescribe medications per collaborative protocols, and interpret findings to adjust care plans. Provide teaching and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses; document findings in medical records; ensure continuity of care by developing patient management plans; conduct patient record reviews with collaborating physicians; advocate for patients and families; stay current with professional practices; act as a resource and leader to staff. Based in Babylon, NY within Catholic Health’s Long Island network.
