Job Summary
The Home Therapy Registered Nurse trains and supports patients in home dialysis modalities (home hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis), providing in-center training to patients and care partners, conducting home visits, and ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations. Responsibilities include patient assessment and monitoring, documenting nursing services in the EMR, infection control and emergency preparedness, coordinating supplies and orders, contributing to continuous quality improvement, and performing on-call nursing duties. Requires current RN license, relevant dialysis nursing experience (12 months general, 3 months modality-specific), CPR certification, ability to communicate in English, and computer proficiency. The role may involve in-center and home-based patient training, on-call rotations, and flexible scheduling; location listed is Phoenix, AZ, US.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in applicable state
- 12 months of clinical nursing experience in nursing care
- 3 months of experience in the specific modality (home dialysis)
- CPR certification
- ability to distinguish primary colors
- complete Home Therapy Nurse Orientation and maintain competency
- English language proficiency
- basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days
- meeting state practice requirements
