Job Summary
Transportation Driver (CNA) to safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and activities while delivering care, companionship, and safety. Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, filing notes and reports (nurses' notes, assessments, progress notes, lab reports, x-ray results, etc.), assisting with scheduling resident assessments per OBRA guidelines, ensuring ICD-9-CM and ICD-10CM/DRG coding accuracy, handling record requests compliantly, driving residents in facility vehicles, assisting residents in and out of vehicles, maintaining records and facility vehicles, performing CNA duties when not driving, and adhering to regulations. Requires CNA license (preferred), CPR (or willingness to obtain), valid Class C license, and prior experience as a patient transport driver.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Experience as a patient transport van driver
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (preferred)
- CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Ability to lift, walk, and bend as needed to assist residents
