Job Summary
Lead the daily operations of the HealthWorks medical records department by supervising Medical Records Coordinators, ensuring confidential records are accurately filed, stored, retrieved, and distributed within three business days. Manage electronic tracking systems, process subpoenas and requests, and conduct routine quality assurance reviews to maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Foster a culture of accountability while developing staff, improving workflow efficiency, and preparing departmental reports for the HealthWorks Director. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or four years of healthcare record experience, a valid Illinois driver's license, and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- at least two years of supervisory experience overseeing the preparation and maintenance of medical records for children
- Four years of experience preparing and maintaining healthcare records for children
- at least two years in a supervisory role
- Valid Illinois driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in medical records or Health Information Management
