Job Summary

The Medical Records Specialist is responsible for organizing, maintaining and protecting participant health information, ensuring medical records are accurate and up-to-date, and supporting regulatory and programmatic reporting within IOA/HIM collaboration. The role includes extracting and collating records into electronic health records, maintaining confidentiality, and producing monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the PACE program. This temporary assignment runs June through August with potential adjustments, and requires proficiency in English, 50 wpm typing, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team, in a multicultural setting.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a postsecondary certificate or Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology (HIT), Health Information Management, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Two years of college, combined with at least two years of medical office, medical records or health related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Certification (Preferred): Certification as RHIT or CEHRS
