Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in Perioperative, PACU, or Operating Room levels, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to AORN and ABPANC core curriculum standards. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education to validate competency throughout clinical orientation. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while supporting the Clinical Educators team. This onsite role requires state RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and 6 months of RN experience or UCHealth Fellowship completion. Full-time employment includes a 3-Year Incentive Bonus, merit pay increases, and comprehensive health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- Any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- ACLS certification (for those not on PICC team)
- PALS certification (for those not on PICC team)
- BLS or CPR card good through sixty days of hire
- Direct care practice in Perioperative, PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) or Operating Room levels of care
- AORN and ABPANC core curriculum and certifications standards knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years' experience)
