Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in Perioperative, PACU, or Operating Room levels, utilizing the nursing process to ensure safety and quality at the point of care. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education to validate competency throughout clinical orientation. Maintain current licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with specific requirements for PICC team members, ensuring all cards remain valid through sixty days of hire. This onsite full-time role supports clinical educators in delivering evidence-based care aligned with AORN and ABPANC core curriculum standards.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- ACLS certification (for those not on PICC team)
- PALS certification (for those not on PICC team)
- BLS or CPR card valid through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years' experience)
