Medical Records Coder Fulltime

Job Summary
Analyze, abstract, and compile medical data to generate accurate reports under the Medical Records Director's supervision. Maintain high integrity and confidentiality regarding HIPAA-compliant information while assembling charts with 100% accuracy. Investigate and notify personnel regarding missing charts, responding promptly to internal and external customer requests. Manage daily workloads during high census periods and participate in special projects during low census times. Requires a high school diploma, certification, and two years of healthcare experience with ICD-10 and CPT knowledge. Full-time position Monday through Friday with 401-K, medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, EAP, and paid time off benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- successful completion of a certification program
- 2 year in a healthcare setting
- Experience with medical coding guidelines and procedures such as ICD-10, CPT or current
- ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and colleagues in a manner that aligns with customer service standards
- Demonstrates adequate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English
