Job Summary
Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards; ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation by reviewing records for discrepancies; coordinate the release of information requests while safeguarding patient confidentiality; assist healthcare providers in accessing necessary medical records for patient care; implement and maintain efficient filing systems for both electronic and paper records; duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
