Job Summary
Sort, file, and collate patient medical records including progress notes, treatment plans, nursing/clinical notes, and discharge summaries. Create new medical record files and ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and timely. Research lost or missing records and answer requests from outside agencies and third-party sponsors. Communicate with transcriptionists or vendors to resolve report issues, assist staff in locating records, and maintain accurate logs, card files, and information release forms. Perform medical record audits and update logs prior to filing. Located in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, this role supports Southcoast Behavioral Health's 192-bed mental health treatment center serving pediatric through geriatric patients.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
