Job Summary
Medical Records Assistant in San Pedro, CA, responsible for processing mail and filing, handling calls related to Medical Records, updating logs, and conducting various audits (Medication, Weekly Summary, Treatment, CNA audits, Admission audits, physician visits documentation, and discharge charts). The role includes creating/printing reports, inputting physician orders, stocking nurses stations with forms, and providing backup receptionist support. Requires a high school diploma, knowledge of medical terminology, typing skills, and solid office procedures; must follow established procedures and propose improvements as appropriate; strong organizational and health information management skills to maintain accurate, compliant patient records and support care delivery.
Required Qualifications

- Knowledge of medical terminology

- Ability to work systematically with initiative and follow through without supervision
- Good physical and mental health
