Job Summary
Medical Receptionist Wellness position supporting front desk, welcome reception, and check-out/appointment finalization. Responsibilities include cross-training as assigned, ensuring appropriate staffing at check-in, maintaining HIPAA-compliant workstations, assisting patients with the Patient Portal and Healow, reviewing encounters and communications, documenting in charts, participating in training and project teams, addressing complaints, and upholding confidentiality. Requires strong customer service, knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; prior experience in medical office settings and familiarity with medical terminology are beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or related experience and/or training
- Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of EMR systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to understand and follow HIPAA guidelines
