Job Summary
Collect, file, and maintain medical records weekly while triaging patients for appointments. Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone, professionally assisting doctors, staff, visitors, and patients. Answer all phone calls courteously and schedule appointments between providers and clients. Liaise between administrative, clinical, and medical departments with discretion, communicating medical results under clinical supervision. Maintain business inventory, check supplies, and inform management of equipment repairs. Perform front desk duties, fill in for the Medical Assistant as needed, and complete translations for providers and calls. Manage prior authorizations, complete Pennsylvania prescription screenings, and coordinate care with primary care physicians. Prepare charts for medical shifts, gather discharge paperwork, and ensure accurate documentation of patient visits. Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and policy procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2-Step PPD
- PA State Background Check
- ChildLine Abuse Clearance
- FBI Background Check
- Mandated reporter certificate
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
