Job Summary
Medical Receptionist at PrimeCARE Medical Clinic. Responsibilities include: greeting and assisting patients, maintaining lobby areas, and handling front-desk duties; processing patient demographic data in EMR, assessing and collecting insurance benefits and payments, scheduling appointments, answering and directing calls with compassion and efficiency, and ensuring proper visitor documentation. Will manage a cash drawer, support adherence to policies and procedures, and assist teammates as needed. Work schedule includes clinic hours (8-8 M-F, some weekends), potential evenings (up to three 12-hour shifts weekly), occasional travel to other PrimeCare locations in Central Arkansas, and routine in-office duties with a high level of patient and employee interaction. Qualifications emphasize excellent customer service, communication, basic data entry, medical terminology knowledge, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to multitask in a high-traffic medical office environment. FLSA: Hourly Non-Exempt.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Fantastic critical thinking skills
- Patience, sound judgment, and discretion dealing with confidential information
- Top-notch organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and medical office procedures
- Functional grasp of the English language for reading and writing using proper grammar
- Experience with basic computer data entry
