Job Summary
Greet patients and act as the primary resource, scheduling appointments across various modalities while introducing the Carbon app. Verify insurance details, collect copayments, and manage administrative tasks including writing referrals and preparing lab paperwork. Collaborate with clinical leadership to enhance the patient experience while maintaining composure during high-volume situations involving emergency referrals. Requires familiarity with medical insurance concepts, strong computer skills including Google Suite, and at least one year of direct medical office receptionist experience. Required Qualifications
- Able to remain focused and calm during stressful situations
- Computer skills
- Working knowledge or willingness to learn Google Suite
- Must type 30+wpm
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one (1) full year of direct experience as a medical office receptionist in a fast-paced clinic, hospital, or similar healthcare setting
- Three (3) years of related customer-service experience
- Must be able to multitask effectively
- Critical time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and insurance companies alike
- Excellent customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and familiarity with medical insurance (understanding of costs, deductibles, copays, coverage)
