Job Summary
Greet patients and establish friendly intake and check-out encounters while maintaining patient flow. Answer phones promptly and courteously, schedule appointments, register patients, and handle billing and payment collection. Follow all applicable policies and procedures while learning diversified insurance plans and medical terminology. Work Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00am to 2:30pm. Join a not-for-profit organization with over 60 locations across Texas dedicated to pediatric health care and family support.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Customer service experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to the public and physician
- Ability to adapt to changes in both staffing levels and patient volumes
- Ability to answer phones promptly and courteously
- Ability to schedule patients
- Ability to register patients
- Ability to handle billing and payment collection activities
- Knowledge of diversified insurance plans
- Knowledge of medical terminology
