Job Summary
Enter new patients into the database, verify insurance, and obtain authorizations. Assemble patient charts and schedule appointments while collecting copays and contracted rates. Coordinate admissions and audit charts for completeness, requesting missing information from the clinical team. Adhere strictly to information security policies and management systems. Legibly write and speak English; bilingual Spanish is preferred. Work up to 12 hours daily, standing and walking frequently, with occasional travel to support clinic operations across the market.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test
- Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy office environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
- Ability to use all necessary office equipment (faxes, copiers, computers, telephones, etc.)
- Able to stand and work up to 12-hours in a day
- Legibly write English, clearly speak English and proficiently read English
- Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences)
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, or other equipment
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Regularly required to work standing up
