Job Summary
Perform imaging examinations according to physician orders using sophisticated equipment, accounting for individual patient needs and age-related factors. Utilize clinical knowledge to ensure proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and optimal high-quality image production. Obtain an Oregon Radiographer License upon hire or a temporary license for new graduates, with national certification required within 180 days. This part-time, on-site role at Providence Portland Medical Center supports a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care across the organization's network of hospitals and clinics. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, and incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
- Oregon Radiographer License upon hire
- Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire
- National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire
- New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire
- Radiology Technologist
- utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment
- taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs
- Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors
- radiation dose calibration of technique
