Job Summary
Conduct daily chart reviews using standardized audit tools to verify legal guardianship, petition filing, assessment completion, medication administration, and treatment plan adherence. Monitor regulatory compliance with DCF, AHCA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards while running daily ObservSMART reports and tracking quality indicators. Assist with root cause analysis of incidents, investigate complaints including video reviews of seclusion or restraints, and lead emergency drills and training. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop corrective action plans, prepare data for Quality Committees, and support internal and external survey preparations. Serve as the Quality Improvement and Infection Control liaison for Crisis Stabilization Units, providing staff education on documentation deficiencies and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical or professional nursing
- Current, active, and unrestricted Florida LPN license
- RN license preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
- Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric services, quality improvement, utilization review, regulatory compliance, or a closely related healthcare setting
- Current CPR certification
- Crisis intervention certification
- Meeting all requirements for Credentialing within the agency
- 20 hours of professional enhancement training annually
- Attending all scheduled work hours, meetings, training, and other center functions
- Ability to arrive/report to work on time and ready to work

- Ability to take guidance and direction from supervisors
- Ability to report to work with clean hygiene

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic health record systems
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work independently while fostering positive working relationships with multidisciplinary teams
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to travel between Peace River Center facilities as needed
- Ability to safely respond to inpatient units during emergencies when required
- Authorization to use the Microsoft Authenticator app on a personal mobile device
