Job Summary
Family Practice Physician providing care within a team-based, patient-centered medical home for SCIHP patients. Responsibilities include taking histories, performing physical exams, ordering diagnostics, delivering therapy per standard practice, referring to other providers as needed, supervising PAs and NPs, training support staff, rotating on-call duties, contributing to quality improvement and peer review, adhering to PCMH principles, conducting nursing home visits, maintaining accurate SOAP-style notes in the EHR, managing problem lists and health maintenance, and participating in outreach clinics (Kashia or Point Arena). Requires California medical license, DEA, CPR, and hospital-privileges eligibility; must demonstrate professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and leadership in a Native American community context.
